Apply for an RMCA Grant

Since our creation in 2000, by a group of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers physicians, RMCA has provided almost $3.8 million in financial assistance to more than 6,800 cancer patients receiving treatment in Colorado. Assistance from RMCA is for a patient's basic needs, and can include rent or mortgage, utilities, car payments and car insurance, health insurance and COBRA, and help with other day-to-day expenses.  Our focus is on providing assistance to our local community by serving low-income Colorado cancer patients across the state.

In 2017, we expect the need for our program to continue to grow.  We receive more applications each month as patients struggle to meet their monthly financial needs while remaining in treatment.  We are proud that since our inception, 100% of qualified applicants have received funding through RMCA's Financial Assistance program.  We work every day to fulfill our mission to provide temporary financial support to cancer patients undergoing treatment and we hope you will continue to support us in 2017 and beyond.

Support the work of Rocky Mountain Cancer Assistance on Colorado Gives Day

RMCA invites Coloradans to support our efforts to support low-income Colorado cancer patients by donating to us on Colorado Gives Day, December 5, 2017.  Donate to RMCA at and make your safe and secure donation in a few easy steps.

Can’t wait until Colorado Gives Day? Donations can be scheduled ahead of time, starting on November 1, 2017.

“The donations we receive on Colorado Gives Day help us do more to support the community and ensure that Colorado cancer patients don't have to make the difficult decision between treatment or paying their bills,” says Grace Castellanos, Executive Director.  “Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year, which will support 20 Coloradans and their families.”

$1 Million Incentive Fund

Community First Foundation and FirstBank each contributed $500,000 to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund, one of the largest gives-day incentive funds in the country. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day receives a portion of the fund, which increases the value of every dollar donated.

Community First Foundation, a leading foundation dedicated to fueling the power of community to drive positive change, and FirstBank, Colorado’s largest locally owned bank, have partnered to present Colorado Gives Day for the past seven years. By making fundraising simple for nonprofits and giving easy for donors, Colorado Gives Day is one the most successful events of its kind in the nation.  Since its inception in 2010, the movement has raised $33.8 million.

We look forward to Colorado Gives Day 2017!
